The most important term in the app is Active company. Everything you see (documents, contacts, stock, dashboards) belongs to that company.
What this means in practice:
- Switching company switches all operational data.
- If data is missing, wrong company is usually selected.
- Exports and e-mails always use active company context.
Accounts and companies: There can be several user accounts (each logs in with their own e-mail and password). An account is not automatically linked to every company – a user only sees companies they are assigned to. You will not see a company in the switcher if you have no access – that is usually intentional. More in Users & access.
Where you are: This help is public — you can read it without an account or signing in, even before registering. A short service overview with a documentation hub lives at `/doc`; developers integrating with OmniFlow want the API documentation at `/api/docs`.
Recommended first setup flow:
- Open Company settings and complete company/billing details.
- Configure numbering and basic invoicing defaults.
- Add Contacts (customers/suppliers).
- If you track inventory, prepare Stock items.
- Then work with documents (typically Quote → Issued invoice).
Key repeated terms:
- Document state = lifecycle phase (see Document states).
- Customer account = who is billed for the OmniFlow subscription (see Customer account).
- Company = entity for which you issue operational documents (see Company settings).
